Well we were super lucky to make it out of Akutan the day we decided to leave! I heard they still haven't had a plane since we left.... It was really great to see CB, we stayed the night in Dutch Harbor before catching our flight to Anchorage.
Sad we missed the fireworks display at home, but happy we decided to get out when we did or we would have cancelled our whole trip.
We hit the road soon... the weather isn't as hot as it's been lately due to all the smoke from the fires all over the state.
